In random order- the reasons why I am interning at Salem Global:
1) Raphi is a REALLY nice guy. It's also refreshing to be around someone so innovative and entrepreneurial. And another thing, he is very honest.
2) In this transitional period of finding my next project (job/career-wise) -it's a good way to keep busy.
3) Learning some interesting new skills that I never had before. Computer technical HTML programming as well as online marketing strategies are examples of new information. I enjoy the level of healthy intellectual stimulation I am receiving from it -and just as some people enjoy taking a photography class or knitting class- it's as if I am taking a summer online marketing-computers class. I am really learning loads by the day and enjoying it- purely for the sake of knowledge.
4) In reference to reason #3- yes, there are added benefits to just "knowing" the information.
Possible ways to utilize the knowledge.
a) I can start my own SEO or online marketing/social media consulting firm. I can establish my own client-base and work on marketing small businesses online.
b) Even if I do not start an online marketing company - I can use the site optimization and website marketing tools for any online business or website I may ever build.
